The International Trade Fair held in Myanmar

Fairs of Products of Vietnam 2010, held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam - the Trade Promotion Department and the Embassy of Vietnam in Myanmar, in collaboration with the Myanmar Federation Ministry of Commerce organizations, was officially opened solemnly at Myanmar Convention Centre.

 

Attending the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung - Member of the Political buro, the Prime Minister, senior government officials and leaders of ministries, branches and more than 170 companies from nearly 20 provinces of Vietnam, are representatives of Vietnamese side.

Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications (VNPT) with VINA-OFC, POSTEF, VKX, representing industrial sectors also attended the Fair.

At the Fair, VINA-OFC showed its the traditional and new generation fiber optical products, fiber optic products of specific modern technology accompanied with extensive accessories to introduce international buyers on production capacity as well as the development of the company VINA-OFC.

 

 


In the framework of a working visit to Myanmar, the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung held talks with leaders of the host country and witnessed the signing of memorandums on promoting investment, economic cooperation between the representatives of ministries, economic groups of Vietnam and Myanmar. Among them, especially, the ceremony  between Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications (VNPT) represented by Mr. Nghiem Phu Hoan - Deputy Director General and the Yatanarpon Teleport Company represented by Mr Tint Lwin - General Manager was signed. Accordingly, in the near future, VNPT will provide investment and building a fiber optical cable manufacturing factory with modern in Myanmar with a total value of U.S. $ 10 million and authorize VINA-OFC to implement the project directly.
 
 


With the investment and project implementation,VNPT, especially VINA-OFC, has actually joined a new playground in accordance with the guideline of the international integration in the current era. This also demonstrates the strength of VNPT and the belief in the ability and capacity of VINA-OFC  in the international arena.
