Ha Noi, 13th Sept, 2010 - Viet Nam Optical Fiber Cable JSC. VINA-OFC (under Viet Nam posts & Telecommunication Group - VNPT) held an optical fiber manufacturing line FTTx inauguration.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Nhien - VNPT Deputy General Director, Mr. Pham Vu Thang - VINA-OFC General Director, Mr. Sim Tae Sik - Ntech-I Director and investor representative, the contractor representative together with visitors from VNPT and other valued partners of VINA-OFC.


The manufacturing line, which was supplied and installed by the joint-name contractor between Ntech-I and Yukwang Machinery (Korea) is an optical fiber cable manufacturing line of new features, first seen in Vietnam and has 60,000 to 90,000 kms capacity of fiber per year (approximately 15,000 to 20,000 kms of optical cable subscriber per year). Products coming from the manufacturing line includes tight-buffered cables, loose tube cables, FTTx cable with string, indoor FTTx cables, etc… The products were tested on a modern monitoring system in compliance with the Vietnamese and international standards.

In the supplying and installing of equipment process, the contractor Ntech-I held and implemented two traning courses in Korea for VINA-OFC technicians in order to transfer skills to operate, use and deploy equipment. At the same time, the contractor also trained on the structural design of optical fiber cables FTTx, as well as build a material standard and management for these products in manufacturing process.

Putting the line into the operation and use, the Company is able to take the initiative in its producing and supplying to domestic and overseas buyers with new technological and first manufactured in Vietnam products FTTx. The products will expectedly meet the demand for the drastical and spreaded development of widebands, multi-service and high speed optical fiber cable networks of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group of Vietnam in particular and for the development needs of lower telecommunications of  Vietnam and some regional countries in general.
